Head-On Bay Shore Crash Seriously Injures Man: Police

A Massapequa man has been seriously injured after a young driver’s vehicle crossed into the opposite lane, according to police.

On the morning of Tuesday, May 2, 27-year-old Chris Singh was driving on 5th Avenue when he crossed into the opposite lane and crashed into David Seletsky, age 52, causing him serious injuries, police said.

27-year-old Chris Singh, of Brentwood, was driving in Bay Shore on the morning of Tuesday, May 2, the Suffolk County Police Department reported.

The accident occurred at around 7:20 a.m. as Singh was driving southbound on 5th Avenue, near Santam Court.

His 2016 Chevrolet Camaro crossed into the northbound lanes and struck an oncoming Ford truck, driven by David Seletsky, age 52, head-on.

Seletsky suffered serious injuries, police said, and was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore.

Singh was transported to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and both cars were impounded for safety checks.
